Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architectural Millwork Fabricator to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a millwork / cabinet shop, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for producing precision-crafted architectural woodwork. You will be responsible for interpreting complex architectural drawings, fabricating custom millwork components, and ensuring the highest standards of quality from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately read and interpret architectural blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Fabricate custom architectural millwork components, including but not limited to cabinetry, casework, wall panels, countertops, and decorative elements.
- Operate a variety of woodworking machinery, including table saws, panel saws, shapers, jointers, planers, and hand tools, safely and efficiently. Operate CNC machines depending on the applicant’s experience.
- Perform precise measurements, cuts, and assemblies to ensure high-quality and tight tolerance finished products.
- Work with a diverse range of materials, including various wood species, veneers, laminates, solid surfaces, and hardware.
- Conduct quality checks at each stage of the fabrication process to ensure adherence to design specifications and company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all company safety policies.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, designers, and other fabricators to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication challenges as they arise.
- Perform routine maintenance on shop machinery and tools.
Qualifications / Skills Required:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience as a fabricator in an architectural millwork or custom cabinet shop.
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex architectural and shop drawings.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and hardware.
- Proficiency in operating standard woodworking machinery and hand tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality craftsmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical ability to lift and move materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Grain Architectural Millwork is growing and looking for experienced millwork fabricators / installers. The right person will be driven by quality workmanship and attention to detail. This is a full time position – working four 10-hour days each week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Rotates between fabrication and installation work depending on project requirements.
- Reads and interprets drawings and project documents ensuring custom millwork is fabricated and installed to specifications.
- Follows written instructions in production packets, work orders and drawings, etc.
- Fabrication and installation of custom millwork including cabinets, laminate casework, counter tops, paneling, wall systems, decorative millwork and the like.
- Use of standard woodworking machinery and hand tools for milling, fabrication, sanding, assembly and installation.
- Quality craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Strict adherence to safety standards
- Maintenance of shop machinery and tools
- Being part of a team and doing whatever it takes to meet timelines, quality standards and customer expectations.
Qualifications / Skills Required:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years working as a fabricator in a millwork or cabinet shop
- Reading and understanding architectural plans, shop drawings, etc.

CAD / CAM Drafting Engineer / Custom Millwork
CAD / CAM Drafting Engineer / Custom Millwork
We are seeking an experienced Drafting Engineer who will be
responsible for creating shop drawings from architectural plans and preparing CAM files
for CNC machining. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) and has the
potential to move to a full time position. We provide a flexible schedule with the ability
to work from home.
Responsibilities:
– Interprets architectural drawings and specifications for millwork / cabinetry work.
– Creates and updates shop drawings required for the fabrication of millwork /
cabinetry pieces.
– Prepares CAM files for CNC machining.
– Completes projects on a timely basis.
– Makes improvements to engineering processes.
– Works closely with the project manager and production.
– Builds and maintains a product library and maintains CAD files / folders as
required.
Qualifications / Skills Required:
– Minimum of three years of experience using CAD / CAM software in an architectural millwork / cabinetry environment.
– Strong skills in reading and interpretation of architectural drawings.
– Good understanding of woodworking details and the fabrication process.
– Solid work habits – working efficiently in a fast paced environment, meeting deadlines, working independently with minimum supervision; prioritizing work according to deadline requirements and solid organizational skills.
– Strong verbal and written communication skills and working in a team environment.
– Attention to details and project specifics.
– High school diploma. Technical school and / or college is highly desired.
